Bill Pay in the NOW

December 2009

Dear Bill Pay Customer:

Thank you for choosing to bank with Fairfax State Savings Bank. After months of review, research, planning, and old-fashioned hard work, we are eager to share some good news about future electronic banking services.

In late January 2010, significant changes will occur within our electronic banking and you are among the first customers being introduced to our new “Banking in the Now” suite of products. The products to be released include a new Mobile Banking product and a new Personal Financial Management program. We will also be replacing our existing Online Banking, Online Bill Pay and Telephone Banking products. It is anticipated that in June 2010 we will also add new and enhanced ATM/Debit Card Services to the “Banking in the Now” experience. Simply put, “Banking in the Now” means transactions will occur in a real time environment. An online-banking transaction will be updated on Mobile Banking, the Financial Management Program, Telephone Banking and here at the bank simultaneously. In other words, each of these products will interface with one another.

As a Bill Pay customer, we need to prepare you for the upcoming changes. Due to the conversion to our new “Pay Now” product, we are unable to transfer your existing payee information over into the new system.  Please make sure you have all pertinent information on existing payees so that you may enter them into Fairfax State Savings Bank’s new “Pay Now” Bill Pay product. We recommend using screen prints of existing payees to retain this information for future reference.

Please check your mail or visit our website,www.thebankhere.com in January 2010 for more details.  If you should have any immediate questions, please contact me at Kristine@thebankhere.com or telephone me at 319-846-2300.

In closing, we apologize for any inconvenience that may be experienced by our customers due to this conversion. Please know that the benefits from “Banking in the Now” will be real and substantial.

Sincerely,

Kristine Norem
Asst DP Officer
